This project was conceived and created on the Traditional Lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation, and the Māori, tangata whenua of Aotearoa. We pay our respects to Elders past and present and extend our respect to all First Nations peoples.
We invite all visitors to this website to learn about the Uluru Statement from the Heart.
The thing you're using right now probably isn't being fair. This is because the algorithm – the way that data is processed – contains bias. See this previous project for more information.
In constructions as large as Large Language Models, these biases are difficult to avoid, and we acknowledge industry attempts to improve or mitigate these issues.
Nonetheless, there is potential for the Everythingulator to cause or perpetuate harm towards marginalised people and communities. We are constantly testing and seeking to work around these design flaws. If you have a negative experience with the Everythingulator, we'd like to know about it, so please get in touch.
EVERYTHINGULATOR has been inspired by the works of Jenny Odell, Douglas Rushkoff, Dr Kate Crawford, Trevor Paglen and James Williams.
In particular we were inspired by Jenny Odell's concept of Tralfamidorification, as borrowed from Kurt Vonnegut's fictional alien race of Tralfamadorians, and featured in the Bureau Of Linguistic Reality:
"Tralfamidorification, is the experience of being over informed about the production line of materials, or about the systems of waste management they will eventually be filtered through. Tralfamidorification, is a disorientating experience where a discrete object becomes a node on a network.'
